Fundamental tips on becoming better at Bubble Soccer

Want to be the best? Archer's Arena has tips for you.

Here is our first one: COVID Precautions!

Each player is in their own bubble. We know that you are thinking about how clean the bubbles are. But we always put cleaning above all else and this has been especially important since the pandemic came.

We use iso-propyl alcohol to clean our suits. We then sterilize and deodorize them with ultraviolet light after every session so that there are no germs inside.

Please always wear a mask but you can take it off when you are playing. We have hand sanitizer everywhere and people need to be vaccinated to come here according to the Ontario government COVID guidelines.

How to play safe: You can play Bubble Soccer and not get hurt because of the bubble. At first, it might feel weird and different but after a while, it should start feeling good and fun!

How to not get hurt when you're hit: Don't try to resist the motion. When you're pushed, tuck your knees into the ball so that you don't fight against it. Your knees should be bent and your body low.

Getting up is not easy because you can't use your hands. The best way to get up faster is to always move to your front so that your head is facing the ground. Then tuck in your knees and bring the bubble suit closer to you and then basically squat up.

Next, we have our tips and tricks!

You need to be faster than your opponents to win the game. But if you are too slow, then it will cost you the game. So always have a person on your team who backs the player attacking the ball.

Knocking into people is a way to play the game. When you are on offense, stay low so the other team can not knock you down. The point of knocking into them is to make them fall off of the game and get hit by your ball. It is important not to be too rough with your opponents so you do not get kicked out.

Bubble Soccer is a sport with no positions. When your team is playing, make sure that you get the positions on the ground so someone can protect the goal, and divide your team up evenly to make it easier for them to defend and attack.

When the other team has the ball, you need to put people in front of your goal. You can make other decisions about where to put players but you should make sure that those players have more stamina. Talk to your team members and strategize before you land on the ground.
